Thanks to the recent dramatic progress in computer engineering and information technology, there has been a recent international effort to rapidly collect and deliver large amounts of information. With cancer being a critical issue in medicine, the National Kyushu Cancer Center has created a medical image database of tumors distinctive to the topology and features of Kyushu. This database has been compiled with the cooperation of the National Cancer Center, regional cancer centers, and other hospitals in Japan.

The database is intended to be of service to medical workers around the world, and we sincerely hope you will find it useful. Of course, the quality of information on this database will be greatly enhanced with the integration of new cases and feedback submitted by all users. Your cooperation in this effort is therefore much appreciated.
