Gardner's syndrome
This is an inherited syndrome which many adenoma develop in the colon, and "soft tumor" like fibroma lipoma, and dermoid cyst and "hard tumor" like myeloma and exostosis are associated with this. Also, as with Familial Adenoma Polyposis, multiple polyps develop in the stomach and duodenum with a high incidence. And now, if we search throughout the body for the cases diagnosed as Familial Adenoma Polyposis, small osteoma and exostosis are recognized in half of them, and latent osteomas are recognized in the maxilla with such a high incidence as 90%.For the reasons mentioned above, Familial Adenoma Polyposis and Gardner syndrome nowadays came to be, considered to be the identical disease.
