Inflammatory polyposis
This is a chronic ulcerative disease over a wide range of the colon, and is often seen from the sedation phase to the healing phase in stage of disease. This is often recognized in ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease, enteric tuberculosis and others. Inflammatory polyposis tends to, compared to other polyposis, often present irregular shapes which include oval, clavate, and corded in shape. Also sometimes mucosal tag or mucosal bridge can be formed, and when they are confluent the images which are similar to polyposis are presented, and they are often seen in conditions in which amebae are cured. Because inflammatory changes such as disappearance of haustra, shortening and deformation of the intestine, narrowing of the lumens, irregularity of the borders, and the faulty attachment of Barium are associated in the area of lesions other than that, the diagnosis is easy to make. Generally considered, inflammatory polyps seen in sulcerative colitis, often have irregular shapes, and strong erythrogenic. On the contrary, its smooth surfaces, and its round shape and erythrogenic slightness are characteristics of polyps of Crohn disease.
