Classification of diseases is in accordance with the Japanese Classification of Colorectal and Gastric Carcinoma. Presentations include malignant neoplasms, benign neoplasms and lesions similar to neoplasms. Examples of lesions attributable to inflammatory diseases liable to be misdiagnosed as neoplasms can also be searched.

Pictorial images are divided into groups of x-ray images (monochrome), endoscopic images, resected specimen images (macro) and histpathologic images (micro). The images may be searching according to specific objectives.
