Microscopic findings |
In the normal leukocytes (5,800/μl), we can see atypical cells with cell diameters that are approximately 25μm having elliptic cell nucleus. The cytoplasm is on the verge of coming apart, and there are conspicuous vacuoles; these are believed to be heavily degenerated atypical cells with coarse chromatin. The nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio is high, and the eccentricity of the nuclei is clear.
