In pancytopenia, leukoerythroblastosis we observed that 4% of the atypical cells were slightly larger than the blood neutrophils. We can also see a slightly lace-like cytoplasm with a nude nuclei form (toward the 9-o’clock direction). These may be misidentified as blood cells, but we believe that the simplex patterns, despite being few in number, are findings that lead us to suspect malignancy.
