Microscopic findings |
The atypical cells are approximately 15μm in size and are in a filamentous sequence. Based on this linear sequence, we believe that they are derived from small cell carcinoma. Small cell carcinoma is cluster-shaped and has an even higher nuclear cytoplasmic ratio; the chromatin is delicately reticulated, and is differentiated based on the fact that the cytoplasm exhibit more paleness. In the case of an adult woman, if small cell carcinoma can be ruled out, breast cancer should be considered.
