Chief Complaint Pyrexia and lumbago.
Past history Hypertension.
Present history He complained of lumbago, but the family doctor made a diagnosis of age-associated changes of the lumbus. He was treated with traction therapy but the lumbago did not improve. Serum protein electrocataphoresis revealed M protein and he was hosptalized due to the possibility of myeloma. A lumber plain X-ray revealed a compression fracture.
