Chief Complaint Ambilateral enlarged maxillaries and left exophthalmos.
Past history Nothing particular.
Present history She was treated for pneumonia one month ago by the family doctor. Facial welling was noted after discharge. Obvious swelling of both cheeks was seen after month andwas not improved with the administration of antibiotics. Another hospital performed an exploratory incision of both themaxillary sinus and the pathological diagnosis revealed the possibility of leukemia or adenopathy. She was admitted to our hospital.
Laboratory findings WBC 35.13×10³/μl(Blast6, My1, Met1, St-Seg31, Mo13, Ly47%)、RBC 3.13×106/μl、
Hb 7.9g/dl、Ht 26.6%、MCV 85.0fl、MCH 25.2pg、MCHC 25.2%、PLT 21.0×104/μl、
NCC 40.4×104/μl、Mgk 105.0/μl(Blast45.0%)、LD 681IU/l、TP 5.9g/dl、
CRP 2.86mg/dl、BUN 7.1mg/dl、Ca 9.6mg/dl、
AST 28IU/l、ALT 11IU/L、lysozyme(serum) 44.4μg/ml
